ME

This is my twelfth year teaching at Dartmouth (eleven years teaching math).  I also coach the Science Olympiad team at Dartmouth as an after school club on Mondays (and many weekends),  and I help Ms. Brown with MakerSpace in the STEM building on Thursdays after school.

In my spare time, you will see me hiking Quicksilver from the Hacienda entrance trying to beat my time up the Deep Gulch trail.  I live in the Shadow Brook neighborhood of Almaden Valley and am on the board of the Almaden Riptide swim team.

Before I became a teacher, I stayed home raising my two children. Before that, I worked at IBM as a mechanical engineer making the heads that did the reading and writing on hard disk drives.

MY FAMILY

  My husband, Andy, and I, celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary this summer.  We have two wonderful children, Katie and Joseph.  Both are in college working on their graduate degrees. At the start of last summer, we managed to visit Yosemite as a family,  for which I will always be grateful.  Family time is precious once the kids have flown the coop!
